KCBC Professional Drama Fest

KCBC Professional Drama Fest is organized by the Kerala Catholic Bishops’ Council’s media commission.  The competition is organised with the view to appreciate and encourage those commissions and artists who promote moral values and Biblical messages through the medium of drama during various religious festivals in Kerala.
 
A cash award, certificate and trophy will be awarded to the team which gets the first prize in the competition with ‘A’ grade.  All the other dramas which gets an ‘A’ grade will be promoted through media advertisement. The best actor, actress, scriptwriter, director, music-director and co-actors and actresses who perform are also be awarded.
 
Extending a helping hand to theatre artists who are struggling for shows due to the pandemic the Kerala Catholic Bishops’ Council’s media commission has launched a series of welfare schemes for the community, including setting up a space for stage performances at the Pastoral Orientation Centre (POC) in Palarivattom.
